There will be a U.S. Modern Pentathlon competition on Sunday 31 January, 2010. The Salle at Alamo Fencing will be hosting the one touch epee event. All events, fencing, swimming, cross country run, rapid fire pistol (air) shooting and the horse ride are open events. For for the horse ride, you must know how to ride. More details to be announced.
The Ken Hogan Epee Open Lewis J. Smith Holiday Open is up on FRED here. Additionally, there have been some minor schedule changes to the qualifiers, please double check your event time.

Also, Bobcat weekend, eligible South Texas Division members will be asked to vote on Ms. Amy Crawford as Treasurer. She is a 2008 Accounting Graduate of Texas State University at San Marcos and is currently employed as an accountant in San Antonio, Texas. She is, on occasion, a competitive fencer. Ballots will be available at the tournament. She is the only person that indicated interest in the office since the Division's annual meeting that was held in early May, 2009.

The Texas State F.C. and ATAC have announced open house intensive epee bouting up to Nationals week at Jowers Gym, 220. The nights are Mon. Wed. and Thurs. beginning at 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. There are no floor fees. Wednesday nights seem to be the best attended. Attendees include: John Moreau, Will Cisler, Jonathan Parker, Daniel Bayerena, Esperanza Barrera, Dean Lantrip, Dr. Ray Sexton, Nicki Patel and Rob Janca (all of these being A's). Also attending have been Jason and Anjea Ray, Kevin Beahan, Sean Moreau, Matt Frost, Natalie Parma and Team Davis. Other weapons are also fenced but not to the extent of the epee these evenings.

Volunteers are still needed for the upcoming World Cup (sabre/foil) in Dallas, Texas. The dates are 19 June--22 June at the Dallas Sheraton. Volunteers are also welcomed to help set up on Thursday afternoon/evening. Contact Brenda Waddoups, North Texas Division Secretary for more details.
Proxy forms for the Divisional Meeting can be found HERE. Please note that to be a voting member, you must have joined before February 1st, 2009. Any proxy forms must be turned into the Division Secretary by 9 am on Saturday, May 1st, or faxed to him at (512) 396-8800 before 12 noon on Friday, May 1st.
