Due to an injury to a fellow worker at TX State University; I will be on call for the University on Saturday 1 May, 20010 (all on call schedules were moved up yesterday). This means that I may be in and out on Saturday during the tournament depending on plumbing emergencies. With this in mind, I am moving the annual SOTXDIV meeting to Sunday, 2 May, 2010. It will take place immediately after the last event ends on Sunday afternoon. I am sorry for the inconvenience but I feel that I do need to be present at the meeting.

Salle Pouj has been chosen to host this year's Summer National's qualifiers. The full schedule is up on FRED here.
Officer Elections for the South Texas Division, USFA will be held after the last event on Saturday, 1 May, 2010. Proxy votes will be accepted and must be submitted to the Divisional Secretary, Kyle Maysel, BEFORE May 1, 2010.

At this time, Kyle Maysel is the only announced candidate and for the office of Chair.
Those clubs wishing to field teams at US Nationals this summer must submit, in writing (written or e-mail), the teams and the events that they wish to fence. Please have this in to Kyle Maysel, Divisional Secretary prior to April 2, 2010. IF there is a need for fence-offs, a date and venue will be announced shortly thereafter.
The following clubs/entities have expressed interest in co-hosting the upcoming 2010 South Texas Divisional Qualifiers (1-2 May, 2010) for US Summer Nationals:

The bid process will continue until the last day of March, 2010 and a decision on the venue will be made after April 2, 2010. We will publish this info on this site and send out e-mails with the needed tournament info to the individual contacts for each club that are currently listed on the USFA webpage or that are made known to the SOTXDIV officers.

This year's National Qualifiers will be held the first weekend of May. Co-host bids are now being taken and will close April 1st.
The Pouj has been rescheduled to the weekend March 20-21. Preregister here.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, this years Poujardieu Memorial has been postponed. Prepaid fees well be refunded.
At long last, the 30th Poujardieu Memorial is up on FRED! (Link to the right)
There will be a U.S. Modern Pentathlon competition on Sunday 31 January, 2010. The Salle at Alamo Fencing will be hosting the one touch epee event. All events, fencing, swimming, cross country run, rapid fire pistol (air) shooting and the horse ride are open events. For for the horse ride, you must know how to ride. More details to be announced.
The Ken Hogan Epee Open Lewis J. Smith Holiday Open is up on FRED here. Additionally, there have been some minor schedule changes to the qualifiers, please double check your event time.
