28 Apr 2008 For your reference, the 2008 list of eligible South Texas voters for the May 3, 2008 Southwest Section meeting (see the news items on the Southwest Section Web site) have been posted HERE. The Southwest Section proxy form is available HERE.

9 Apr 2008 A referee seminar will be held on Friday evening, April 18 at Jowers Gymnasium on the campus of Texas State University. The seminar begins at 5:00 PM and participants should be prepared to stay late.
Cost: $40 walk in. $35 with pre-reg on FRED.
Pizza and Coke will be provided.
Testing and potential observations may be done on Saturday at the Fiesta D and Under Event at the SAN ANTONIO FENCING CENTER.

8 Apr 2008 Proxy forms for the Divisional Meeting can be found HERE. Please note that to be a voting member, you must have joined before February 1st, 2008. Any proxy forms must be turned into the Division Secretary by 9 am on Saturday, April 12th, or faxed to him at (512) 396-8800 before 5 pm on Friday, April 11th.

31 Mar 2008 Change to Jr. and Sr. Team Qualifier Event at 2008 South Texas Division Qualifiers (12-13 April)

Written notice about tentative teams must be submitted in writing (e-mail is acceptable) to a Divisional officer PRIOR to 5 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2008. This will allow time to see if fence offs will be needed.

If sufficient teams register by that time, then the fence offs will begin shortly after 10 a.m. on Sunday, 13 April, 2008 at the upper gym of Jowers (Texas State University at San Marcos).

19 Mar 2008 Divisional Qualifiers for Summer Nationals will be held April 12 - 13, 2008 in San Marcos in Jowers Gym at Texas State University. Details and pre-registration are available on FRED.

The Annual Division Meeting will be held Saturday, April 12th, at 9 AM. All offices (chair, vice-chair, secretary, treasurer and tournament events coordinator) are open for nominees as always. Also reps to USFA Summer Congress will be elected.

4 Feb 2008 Team entries for the Divisional Qualifiers for the national Division I Team Championships are NOW being accepted and are due by 14 February 2008. South Texas Division clubs need to notify the Division Chairman in writing (e-mail is acceptable) of which teams they wish to send to Div I (One) Team Championships scheduled for April, 2008. If enough teams enter an event, fence-offs will be held in late February or early March (prior to 14 March 2008).

4 Feb 2008 Salle Pouj will host a D and Under Foil and Sabre event at their NEW San Antonio Fencing Center on Saturday, Feb 16. Full information is on FRED.

4 Sept 2007 There is a Referee Clinic scheduled for the weekend of October 12-14 (the Bobcat 2007 weekend) at Jowers Gym, San Marcos, TX. The seminar fee is $30.00. The classroom session is on Friday 12 October beginning at 6 p.m. until late, in the fencing salle ... room 221-222. Observations are on Saturday/Sunday.
