AFA's End of School Year Youth Epee Tournament will be May 20th at Alamo Fencing Academy in San Antonio. This is not a USFA-sanctioned tournament, and USFA membership is not required. See FRED for more info.

Please note that to be a voting member, you must have joined before February 1st, 2007. Any proxy forms must be turned into the Division Secretary by 1pm on Saturday, March 31st. 13 Mar 2007 Divisional Qualifiers for Summer Nationals will be held March 31 - April 1, 2007 in San Antonio at the Palo Alto College Natatorium. Details and pre-registration are available on FRED.
The Annual Division Meeting will be held Saturday, March 31st, at 1 PM.7 Mar 2007 The Crescent City Open is March 10-11 in New Orleans. Details are available HERE. FEBRUARY 2007
26 Feb 2007 Div 2/3 Qualifiers are scheduled for 31 March-1 April in San Antonio at the Natatorium Gym on the campus of Palo Alto College. We are trying for a one-day tournament... but can go to two days if needed. Event schedule coming soon.
Team entries are NOW being accepted and are due by the end of the last event on 31 March, 2007. If fence-offs are required, they will be fenced at a date in the future to be announced.
Annual divisional meeting will occur around mid-day on the 31st of March, also. All offices (chair, vice-chair, secretary, treasurer and tournament events coordinator) are open for nominees as always. Also reps to USFA Summer Congress will be elected.22 Feb 2007 Just a reminder of the Referee Clinic to be held on the weekend of March 24-25, 2007 at Salle Pouj/San Antonio, Texas. Fencing for James Ortiz: A benefit tournament on 24 June at Texas State University. Info HERE
All proceeds go to James Ortiz. Our fellow TX State student was seriously injured in a bicycling accident last Monday. Ortiz is a Senior double majoring in Special Education and Exercise and Sports Science, and a star member of the track team. Medical bills are high and all sports clubs are fundraising to help the Ortiz family.
Also, the Games of Texas are 29-30 July in Round Rock. You can find out more HERE

Please note that USFA made a change to the qualifying paths on Monday, the 3rd. They have told us that it is retroactive. If your qualifying form does not match this list, please email Deana at secretary@southtexasdivision.org for an explanation. The updated version of the qualifying paths is available HERE.

.16 Oct 2005 The bid for J.O. Qualifiers has been closed. They will be on 3-4 Dec 2005 in the main gym at Palo Alto College, San Antonio. Details to follow shortly. 12 Oct 2005 The Miles Keogh Memorial Youth Tournament has been CANCELLED. It will be rescheduled for sometime in the future, perhaps 2005 or more likely, 2006.
The Division is now accepting bids for co-hosting of the J.O. Qualifiers scheduled for 3-4 Dec. A venue that can set up ten (10) regulation-sized strips is minimum. We will supply the machinery, referees and admin staff.3 Oct 2005 Hogan Memorial Results are available on FRED and here on our site.
